Here's the proof

For what seems like months now, we've been saying that Jack is "capable of walking", but "choosing not to". It was SO true.

About a week and a half ago he decided it was time to walk (a couple of days before 18 months), and off he went. This is from yesterday:

Notice his sign for "please" (tapping his head) and that he knows exactly who mickey mouse is . . . Thanks Playhouse Disney!

Tia wrestling with Chicklette (a dog we were taking care of for a few days). I wish I'd gotten good video of it. It was SO funny. They would chase each other around the house and wrestle and then curl up and sleep together.

Video

Jack was eager to show off for the video camera tonight. First he made a ramp for his truck, he blows a kiss for Grandma (when we watched it again afterwards he did say "Grandma" - honest!). He plays peekaboo and shows how he can stand up.

I was informed today that he took his first steps while I was away. I say it's not real until I see it.

Thanks for coming to spend today with us!

A day with a friend

Today Jack enjoyed a day with a friend. Her mommy was working and so was her daddy so we had the privilege of spending the day with her!

Adventures in Dishwashing

I know, I know. It's been a long time since I posted. But life is busy, so whatever.

For some reason Jack's been very clingy these last few days. I don't know if it's teething or his cold or how much his daddy's been on the road these last few weeks. All I know is that it's a whole new world when your little one wants to be held all the time. Hats off to you moms who deal with this all the time!

The Jolly Jumper is sure to make Jack smile!

And so is Tia! She's discovered the benefits of having a baby in the house: food to lick off and someone always willing to pay attention to her!

Here we're working on the laminate in Jack's room. I'll try to take some pictures in the next while of the finished room. It looks great!

Bath time. Practicing pouring with his Hawaii mug.

Some videos that I've been meaning to put up here
